The STRIPY shawl is knitted from the right tip to the left long side. The shape of the shawl is created by increases and decreases. The pattern only contains knit and purl stitches. The main part of a pattern repeat is knitted in stockinette stitch and ends with garter stitch. The pattern repeat is quick to learn and then repeats continuously. You can knit the shawl to any size you desire. To create a particularly beautiful finished edge, you can cast off with an I-cord at the end as an alternative to "normal casting off".

- possibly a few stitch markers to keep track of the decreases
- Tapestry needle, scissors
