The Betty Scarf is a small scarf with an interesting knit/purl pattern. It is knitted from bottom to top. The shape is created by short rows and, for the larger scarf, by central decreases. Since the stitch count decreases significantly after each row, it knits up very quickly. Finally, the scarf gets an I-cord edge. The small scarf is tied once around the neck, while the large scarf can be tied twice.

Small scarf - 50g yarn: Lilly uni mix No. 5 - yardage 150m/50g
Circular knitting needles size 3.5 mm – length 60 or 80 cm
2 needles from a set of double-pointed needles size 3.5 mm
2 or 3 stitch markers, blunt darning needle, scissors
Gauge: stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needles _ 10 x 10 cm = 25 sts x 34 rows
