No. 260 ORI-ITO BAG Knitting Pattern

The ORI-ITO Bag (knitted bag) is made from 4 side panels in a woven pattern. The parts are then sewn together in a special way, giving the bag its extraordinary shape. The woven pattern creates a beautiful yet very different design on both sides. The bag is sewn so that it can be used on both sides - REVERSIBLE BAG included.

The ORI-ITO Bag can either be made in the light version or as a large shopping bag. Both versions are included in the instructions.

Techniques used: Chain edge, knit and purl stitches, crocheting stitches together with a crochet hook.

Basic knowledge required, everything else is explained in detail or further illustrated with video links!

The following is needed:

Large bag:
• approx. 800g Nova Vita 4 - LL 40m/50g – knit with double yarn
• Knitting needles size 10 mm, crochet hook size 8 mm

Small bag:
• 450g Nova Vita 4 - LL 40m/50g – knit with single yarn
• Knitting needles size 6 mm, crochet hook size 5 mm

• large blunt sewing needle, scissors

Gauge: in woven pattern with needle size 6.0_ 10 x 10 cm = 18 sts x 30 rows
in woven pattern with needle size 12 _ 10 x 10 cm = 11 sts x 18 rows
